Seit Anfang des Jahres kommt diese Kleinbild Spiegelreflexkamera mit einer beachtlichen Verbesserung der Sucherelemente auf den Weltmarkt. Die Kamera hat einen Verschlusszeitenbereich von 1-1/500 sec. in der internationalen Zeitenreihe, sowie eine Spiegelvorauslösung und eine automatische Blende. Als Optik kommt hier das Carl Zeiss Tessar 2,8/50mm zum Einsatz, das eine hervorragende Schärfeleistung aufweist. Die von den Kamera Werkstätten Dresden gefertigte Praktica FX Reihe wurde bis 1958 ca. 200.000mal in über 48 Ländern der Erde verkauft und stellt somit eine der erfolgreichsten Kameras der 50er Jahre dar.
