Die Kiev, die hier noch in kyrillischen Buchstaben graviert ist, heißt eigentlich
Kiew und ist eine exakte Kopie der Contax II. Bei den ersten Modellen,
die noch in kyrillischer Schrift graviert sind hält sich nach wie vor das Gerücht,
dass bei diesen Kameras Original Carl Zeiss Teile verwendet wurden.
Die Kamera besitzt einen Messsucher ohne Parallaxenausgleich. Bajonettfassung, 
Normalobjektiv Jupiter 8, 2/50mm, Metall-Schlitzverschluss mit Zeiten von 
1/2—1/ 1250 Sekunde und B, X-Synchronisation mit Kontaktbuchse auf der Vorderseite
unterhalb dem Sucherfenster und zusätzlichem Aufsteckschuh, Selbstauslöser 
mit 10 Sekunden Vorlaufzeit, manuell einzustellendes Bildzählwerk auf der Oberseite 
des Gehäuses mit Rändelrad auf der Rückseite. 
Rückwand und Bodendeckel aus einer Einheit mittels zweier Schraubknebel abziehbar,
daher ist ein leichtes Filmeinlegen möglich.
