Schon
Gedanken. Aber erst 1971
formulierte man einen Entwicklungsauftrag fr ein fnflinsiges
Sonnars 2,8/40mm bei
Carl Zeiss in Oberkochen. Zwischenzeitlich war die Verschluproduktion
von Compur in
Mnchen aus betriebsinternen Grnden zur zweiten Zeiss-Tochter
Prontor-Werk in Calmbach verlagert worden. Hier fand nun auch die Umkonstruktion
des Verschlutubus fr das
Sonnar sowie die Anfertigung der Werkzeuge statt.
Ziel war der Fertigungsanlauf in Frhjahr 1973.
Already at the end of 1967, the chromium-plated Rollei 35 cost DM 520, - after the first price increase in the photo
shops, the responsible persons in Braunschweig thought over a simpler and a high-quality execution of this success model. But only 1971 formulierte one a development order for
five lens sunning acre a 2,8/40mm at Carl Zeiss in upper cooking. In the meantime catch production had been shifted by Compur in Munich out
internal operated reasons to the second Zeiss daughter pro gate work in Calmbach. Here nun also the re-design of the
Shutter for the Sonnar as well as the preparation of the tools took place. A goal was the
manufacturing beginning in spring 1973. The completion and the test of five sample cameras with
frontlens Sonnar took place in November 1972 in Brunswick. That suppl.-smooth-eat the optical investigation was
badly. By the Frontlens Fokussierung the objective pointed a notinferior illustration quality in close range at otherwise comparable values to the Tessar. This objective should be built in no case. Only a complete revision of the construction remained. The follow-up development of Carl Zeiss furnished the desired objective quality in the entire range of adjustment and lay, according to the higher optical expenditure over the Tessar. The distribution?Rollei of 35 S? retarded over one
year.
